Musician Profile
Your avatar, name, bio, and instruments — used across the app and, for anything you mark public, on your public profile page. Choose your avatar from Gravatar, a generated pattern, or your own upload. Each field and each instrument has its own show/hide eye icon controlling public visibility; nothing is shared until you mark it public. Email and phone number are never shown publicly, with no option to change that.
Your instruments
Add the instruments you actually play and they appear as badges on your profile, each with an optional photo of the instrument itself. An instrument is recorded with its tuning, not just its name, so the cross-tunings folk players really use are first-class: sawmill and cross-A on the fiddle, GDAD and open tunings on the mandolin, CGDA or GDAE on the tenor banjo, DADGAD and the open tunings on guitar, and a long list for the 5-string. A saved instrument can be edited afterwards rather than deleted and re-added, so correcting a tuning takes one click.
Public Profile (subscribers)
Subscriber accounts can publish a public, no-login-required page at a web address of their choosing, showing whatever fields and instruments are marked visible above, styled with your chosen theme. Enable it, pick or edit the suggested address, and save — the live link appears right below. Preview it any time from the repository page by clicking your own name.
Bands & Courses (subscribers)
Subscriber accounts can create Bands (for bandmates) or Courses (for students) — each is a shared folder plus a group login that members use with a shared name and password. Members see a read-only or editable view of the shared repertoire depending on how the group was set up, without needing an account of their own. Each group carries a photo or logo and three separate pieces of writing, split by who reads them: a one-line short description, an internal communication only signed-in members see — rehearsal notes, internal news — and a public communication used nowhere until you tick "Show on my public musician page". That tick is the whole access decision, so you can draft and preview the public text while the group is still private; the shared login, the internal text and the member list are never published. You can also keep an optional member list for your own use, and change the group's login or password at any time — which signs out anyone currently connected, so tell them the new one.
